If you run a clinic, a tuition centre, a home-service crew, or a two-person startup in India, this will sound familiar. Someone finds you on Instagram. They DM. You reply from the business phone while you are with another customer. Two days later nobody remembers who that person was, what they asked, or whether anyone sent the price.
That is not a funnel. It is a pile of chats.
Marketing people will tell you the fix is more traffic. Sometimes you do need to be easier to find — that is digital marketing. But a lot of Indian SMBs already get enquiries. They lose them in WhatsApp, Instagram Direct, missed calls, and notebooks. A website with a form, plus a CRM that stores the lead, is the unglamorous fix.
This article is about that system. It is also honest about a specific TechyXen offer: the ₹99/day website + CRM. The live page price is ₹99 per day, ₹9,000 for 3 months, billed quarterly. TechyXen is not a shop and does not sell other people’s products. If you need an online store, that is a separate client build.
Where Indian SMB enquiries actually arrive
Count the last 20 people who asked you for a price, a slot, or a demo. They usually come from some mix of:
- A phone call (often from a Google listing or a referral)
- A WhatsApp message to a personal or “business” number
- An Instagram DM under a post or a reel
- A walk-in who said “I’ll think about it”
- A website form, if the site has one and it works
None of those are wrong. The problem is they do not land in one list. WhatsApp is a thread. Instagram is another thread, often on a different phone. The call is a scribble. The walk-in is a name in a diary. The form, if it exists, goes to an inbox that three people share and nobody owns.
When a second person from the same family or company messages a week later, you have no history. When a staff member leaves, the leads leave with their SIM. When you finally run an ad, you cannot tell whether the extra messages turned into work, because you never tagged them.
You do not need a lecture about “CRM adoption”. You need a place to put the name, the source, the status, and a note — and a website that can take the enquiry when the person does not want to DM.
What “losing an enquiry” looks like
It is rarely dramatic. The Instagram DM sits on “seen” because the person who runs the page is on a site visit. The WhatsApp “I’ll share the rate tomorrow” never gets a tomorrow. Two people reply to the same lead with two different prices. You remember the hot lead and forget the quiet one who would have booked next month. You ask the customer to repeat their history because it lives in a chat you cannot search.
None of that needs a made-up statistic. If you have a business phone, you have seen it.
A website does not magically stop this. A CRM does not magically stop this. Together they help only if someone on your side will open the list and call. Say that out loud before you buy any system, including ours.
What a website + CRM is actually for
Keep the job small.
The website is the public desk. It should say who you are, what you do, where you are, how to reach you, and it should have an enquiry or appointment form that works on a phone. People who do not want to DM a stranger still need a way in. People who did DM you still need a page they can trust when they Google your name.
The CRM is the back-office list. Every enquiry — form, call, WhatsApp, Instagram, walk-in — gets a row: name, contact, source, status (new / talking / quoted / won / lost), notes, and a next date. That is enough for most SMBs. You do not need seven pipeline stages and lead scoring on day one.
If your current site cannot do this, do not start with a 20-page custom build unless you truly need one. Many owners need the simple desk first. Custom web development is there when that desk is not enough — bookings with real inventory, logged-in portals, or a proper client e-commerce store. TechyXen builds those for clients. We are not a storefront ourselves.
What the ₹99/day offer is — from the live page
The live page is Website + CRM Lead System, ₹99/day. This is what it says today:
- A website with an enquiry / appointment form
- A CRM to store and manage customer data
- Lead status, notes, and history tracking
- Initial setup and lifetime tech support
- One business email on your domain
- Web hosting included
- ₹99/day • ₹9,000 for 3 months (billed quarterly)
- No long contracts, no hidden costs, demo before onboarding
The same page says setup is done in 7 working days after you share details, and that the point of the system is website, call, and WhatsApp enquiries in one place so follow-ups are not a memory test.
Read that as a package description, not as a promise that sales will rise by a number we have not measured. We will not invent a conversion rate for you.
What it is not. It is not ads. It is not the ₹199/day social plan (organic posting, billed quarterly, ads not included). It is not a human receptionist — you or your staff still call and message. It is not an online marketplace; if you sell products, a shop is a separate client project. It is not unlimited custom features for ₹9,000. If you need a special workflow, we quote that as web development or automation. If the demo does not match how you work, do not onboard.
WhatsApp and Instagram will not go away
Indian buyers will keep messaging. You should not fight that. You should copy the enquiry out of the chat and into the list the same day.
- Every new DM or WhatsApp that is a real enquiry gets a CRM row the same day: name, number, source (
Instagram/WhatsApp/Call/Form), one-line ask. - Status moves when something happens — not at the end of the month.
- If two staff talk to the same person, they read the notes first.
- The website form is for people who will not DM, and for people checking you after they did. Both should land in the same CRM.
If you skip step 1, the tool is furniture. Some teams later add automation: form submissions creating the row, reminders on the next-call date. That is useful. Start with the list. Add automation when the typing is the bottleneck, not before.
When you need marketing as well as a list
A CRM full of nobody is still empty. If people cannot find you — no Google Business Profile, no service pages, no consistent social — then you have a visibility problem. That is the job of digital marketing: listings, search pages, content you can stand behind, and social if you cannot post yourself.
Do not mix the two problems. If leads already arrive and then vanish, fix capture first — the ₹99/day system is aimed at that. If almost nobody new is asking, you need to be findable. If you get DMs but the site looks abandoned, fix the public desk. People check.
A website + CRM is not “SEO”. Technical basics on the site help search; they do not replace pages that answer real queries. Posting every day is not a CRM. Different jobs.
A 30-minute audit you can do this week
Sit with last week’s phone and answer these on paper:
- How many people asked for a price, a slot, or a demo?
- How many of those can you still name today?
- How many have a next step with a date?
- If the person who holds the business WhatsApp is sick tomorrow, can anyone else see the open leads?
- Does your website have a working form on mobile, and does anyone read it?
If (1) is healthy and (2)–(4) are ugly, you have a tracking problem. If (1) is near zero, you have a finding-you problem. If (5) is no, you are asking Instagram to be your entire office. Bring those answers to a call. They are more useful than a mood board.
How to decide
Use the live ₹99/day offer when all of this is true: you need a straightforward site with a form, not a catalogue of hundreds of SKUs; you will actually log WhatsApp and Instagram enquiries into the CRM; and ₹9,000 for three months is the budget you want to test with, billed quarterly, with a demo first.
Choose custom web development when you already know you need more: multi-location booking, a logged-in client area, integrations, or a proper store. Choose digital marketing when the site can take a lead but not enough people see it.
If you are unsure, contact TechyXen and say what you sell, which city you serve, and which app the last ten enquiries arrived on. That is enough to start. Phone +91 92705 93725, email [email protected], 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM IST, India / remote.
Do not wait for a campaign. Put this week’s DMs in a list. Then decide whether the public desk needs building.
